Final Blog PostInnovation time was meaningful as it showed me how long of a process it is for one person to create something within a mod. It taught me that to make something worthwhile or that you were pleased about, it would require a good amount of time and dedication. The most meaningful part of my work was being able to create something that everyone in my AP lang class could recognize and relate to. The most difficult part was that there were times where I didn't want to work on my innovation at all. However, sticking through working on it through the fun and frustrating times made it even better. While I am slightly upset that I didn't finish what I originally planned, it doesn't annoy me too much since I learned that building the mod takes a lot longer than I had originally imagined.

Innovation Blog Post 20This week I focused more on adding to what I currently have. While I originally planned on adding quality and better textures while simultaneously building onto my map, however due to the time constraints I would rather focus on having a better quality mod than one that is larger. Thus, I aim to work on bettering the quality of the mod and focus on adding more textures and models to the map. Innovation Blog Post 19One thing that has changed since I originally start out is that I am realizing that building this mod in a way that I am pleased with will take a very long time. Although I am making good progress and have a good portion of the mod completed, the textures still aren't 100% what I wish for them to be. Additionally, working on a lot of behind the scenes tasks is proving to be difficult and more time consuming than I originally imagined. However, I do have most of the behind the scenes kinks worked out, so that is a good building block for the rest of my mod to work off of. Below are some pictures of places I have started to work on (the art room and next door English room). Innovation Blog Post 18Like always, this is busy work. Not much has changed other than progress on the final build of the school. Innovation Blog Post 16I am continuing updating the looks of my mod. It is a nice change of pace from building the map as I get to add color and textures and have fun making it look fancy. I also am finding ways to make the mod work during nighttime, and that is another step in my textured plan. While it doesn't work well right now, the night time version of the map is making progress and will work soon. Blog Post 15This week I worked on adding more textures. I worked on the lobby of the school specifically. I also tinkered with future ideas for textures and looks of the mod. Blog Post 14 InnovationThis week I worked on updating the graphics and looks of the map. I additionally worked on some behind the scenes things for ideas I have in the future. Other than that, not much else has been done. As always, progress is simply work that requires a decent amount of time. Before and after pictures are below. Innovation Blog Post 13For this week I wanted to switch things up a bit. Instead of building more to my mod, I instead focused on polishing up what I currently have. Not polish up as in fix, but polish up as in add textures. Up to this point brivck walls here and there have served as the main build of my mod, but I want it to look nice. Thus, I focused this week on finding ways to make it look better. I didn't get as much done as the program I use to build the mod crashed, and I had forgotten to save my progress. After that, it was a bit disheartening to have to redo everything, so I didn't get as much done as I had hoped. However, I did like what I saw a as a result of my polishing up. Below is a before picture and two after pictures of the textures. It may not seem like much now, but it's a good start to what I aim to do.
Blog Post 12 InnovationThis week I worked on mostly minor changes to the mod to make it look a little bit nicer in certain areas. I then started work on the upstairs hallway, along with fixing a bug that involved the upstairs and some doorways. The picture shown is the doorway just outside of the weight room.
Blog Post 11 (Innovation)As always, this has week was just progress building. The structure of the mod itself is difficult, and that's not even incorporating all of the textures and design to make the mod look good. Below are some pictures of rooms I managed to complete or fix this week. |
